I'm ready to begin!

When you are ready to begin your therapy journey, please fill out the form to the right or schedule a consultation. The form on the right will prompt a therapist to reach out to you directly, while scheduling a consultation will allow you to choose a time that works best for you to speak face-to-face with a therapist virtually.

Tim Lawlor, M. Ed.

How can you live an expanded life? Most people come to therapy because their life feels like it’s getting smaller over time. Life is a gift and we get to choose to expand as we develop, sometimes we become stuck along our quest for growth.

I am an Australian man who currently lives in Philadelphia, PA. I emigrated to the United States in late-2020. Before my big move, I worked in Melbourne, Australia as a social worker in community mental health. It is Melbourne that I first experienced fulfilling and meaningful work, I get to build therapeutic relationships around growth and flourishing with each person that chooses to sit in front of me. Through this important work, I am privileged to see my clients learn new ways of living, unburdened by shame or guilt and empowered to live in alignment with their vision for themself.

When working with me, you can expect a blend of techniques from Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Narrative therapy. No single person is ever the problem, the problem is the problem and it exists outside of you. I place a strong emphasis on relationships as opportunities to learn new ways of being.

I graduated from Swinburne University of Technology with an undergraduate degree in Forensic Science and Psychology. I then continued on to earn an a graduate diploma in Psychology, with my most recent degree being a Masters of Education with a focus in Mental Health Counseling, earned from Temple University.
